Overview This position is with the Defense Health Agency at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Womack, we are a fully accredited 110-bed, evidenced-based regional medical center and GME facility serving Fort Bragg, the home of Airborne and Special Operations and the largest U.S. Army installation in the world. We manage several outstanding Primary Care practice sites located in Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Linden Oaks. Womack is located in Fayetteville, Fort Bragg which is 2 hours from the beach and 5 hours from the Appalachian Mountains with easy access to I-95 and all points north and south. This central North Carolina location enjoys seasonably palatable weather year-round. Responsibilities As a Clinical/Neonatal ICU Supervisory Nurse you will:

  • Performs a variety of supervisory, administrative, and clinical duties as the Supervisor (Head Nurse) of the NICU
  • Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short term priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work
  • Develops staff in effective interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills
  • Evaluates nursing interventions based on patient's response and revises nursing care plan accordingly.
  • Develop nursing care assignments to various skill levels of professional and nonprofessional personnel.
  • Supervise nursing staff, managed shift assignments, and conducted performance evaluations.
  • Lead training programs, ensuring cross-training and neonatal education for staff.
  • Contribute to policy development and revisions, focusing on quality and infection control.
  • Complete reports and maintain records to ensure compliance and efficient neonatal care.
  • Monitors and oversees staff performance to assure work is accomplished in a timely manner
  • Reviews and assists in the revision of nursing care plans as needed.
  • Provide advanced NICU care, administering treatments and managing neonatal equipment.
Qualifications US Citizenship required Must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination and possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Possession of a diploma, associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or master's degree from a professional nursing educational program and at least one full year of professional nursing experience as an Registered Nurse. apply to this job
