Special Educational Needs Service Manager
">About the Role:The Integrated Commissioning Team in Children's Services seeks a Special Educational Needs Service Manager to lead on a service managing externally commissioned placements in independent and non-maintained special schools.
This role involves leading and shaping the brokerage service to achieve excellent outcomes for Norfolk children and young people with SEND. You will work closely with providers and plan the best use of resources to meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a delivery plan for the High Needs Brokerage service
- Monitor placement data, create reports, and provide market intelligence to senior panel members
- Negotiate provision and costs with external providers
- Liaise with and develop good working relationships with external SEND providers and teams within Children's Services
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- An effective communicator with good interpersonal skills
- Organised, with a methodical approach to processes and an eye for detail
- A good negotiator with experience in relationship management
- Experienced in developing and managing services
