About the Role: Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist works closely with the Accounts Payable Manager and other AP professionals, Senior Accountants, Controllers, and Assistant Controllers. The position will also communicate with managers across all Yeti divisions to follow up on invoicing data and purchase order requests. The position will also connect daily with external vendors on follow-up regarding payment and invoicing data. The Accounts Payable team also has a strong partnership with the IT team to ensure smooth execution of all AP programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter vendor invoices timely and accurately into SAP
• Monitor AP email inbox to download vendor invoices and respond to vendor requests
• Fortnightly review of various SAP reports (GRIR and MRBR) to ensure invoices are being posted on time and accurately
• Prepare 1099 reporting and ensure that all vendors have the necessary tax identification and W-9 information on record
• Communicate with vendors in a timely and efficient manner
• Receipt processing (60%)
• Vendor support (30%)
• Incidental ongoing/exceptional activities (10%)
• Review receipt aging
• Ensure accurate general ledger coding
• Ensure accurate matching of purchase orders to invoices
• Provide solid customer support to all that we interact with

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required, ideally in an Accounting discipline
• 0-2 years of relevant work experience
• Proven history in managing the Accounts Payable function, ideally in a wholesale distribution enterprise
• SAP experience preferred, but not required

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

• Can handle a high speed and high volume of transactions
• Strong Excel skills and demonstrated ability to develop accounting sheets for tracking vendor activity
• Objective-oriented with high standards for excellence
• Self-motivated and eager to complete projects by deadline
• Ability to repeatedly manage routine tasks
• Obsessive attention to detail
• Seeks new efficiencies to bring to the organization
• Ability to handle unique tasks as assigned and work perseveringly to a successful end
• Excellent organization and project management skills
• Computer literate - Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel)
