Senior Data Analyst – Visual Media Factory Operations

As a Senior Data Analyst on our Visual Media Factory crew, you will play a critical role in optimizing our virtual manufacturing line, which produces hundreds of 3D product images every year. You will work cross-functionally with Product Management, Data Science, Analytics, Vendor Management, and 3D Artists to power new enterprise strategies through in-depth analysis of business process data. Your expertise in reporting-stage data control, SQL scripting, and web-based dashboarding will enable you to record key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive business outcomes.

Our team is responsible for optimizing the virtual manufacturing line that produces 3D product images, which are used across our website, mobile app, and social media channels.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Analyst on our Visual Media Factory team, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving key tasks across multiple imagery workstreams: You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to optimize our virtual manufacturing line.
  • Creating custom analytic reports: You will analyze and summarize data to provide insights on product image quality, which will inform business decisions and drive business outcomes.
  • Improving existing processes: You will identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations to enhance our manufacturing ecosystem, leveraging data to inform and design process changes.
  • Serving as a strategic partner: You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to align on achieving value-driven outcomes and provide guidance on data-driven decision-making.
  • Partnering with Product Managers: You will collaborate with Product Managers to design, develop, test, and improve Wayfair's proprietary workflow control gear and manufacturing ecosystem.
  • Monitoring process health and performance: You will track key metrics and provide recommendations to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Helping build scalable strategies: You will develop strategies to support data collection and pipeline optimization, ensuring that our virtual manufacturing line remains efficient and effective.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

2+ years of experience

in improving strategies, reporting, and metrics in Operations, Business Analysis, or Strategy.

Bachelor's degree

in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, or other quantitative and technically-rigorous disciplines.

Highly analytical skills

, including experience with reading and decoding large data sets directly (experience with SQL required, Google Data Studio dashboarding experience preferred).

Strong written and verbal communication skills

.

Experience working in a detail-oriented environment

.

Ability to break down complex, ambiguous goals into achievable pieces

.

Ability to tie tactical targets to broader business goals

.

  • High interest in detail and tested ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

Comfortable with ambiguity and developing new strategies from scratch

Previous experience in 3D or Imagery is a plus

.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience with:

Data visualization tools

, such as Tableau or Power BI.

Machine learning algorithms

and experience with applying them to business problems.

Cloud-based data platforms

, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
