Job Overview

As an Experienced Part-time High School Math Tutor – Homework Prep and Academic Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve academic success in mathematics. You will work one-on-one with students in their homes, providing personalized instruction and support to help them overcome challenges and build confidence in their math skills. Your expertise will be in high demand as you work with students from various backgrounds and learning styles, adapting your teaching approach to meet their unique needs.

Responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for:

• Providing high-quality instruction and support to students in high school math, including homework prep, algebra, geometry, and calculus

• Effectively balancing tutoring hours for each assigned student to ensure optimal learning outcomes

• Following up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours to ensure seamless service delivery

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the education field, preferably in tutoring or teaching specialized education fields
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching high school math, with a strong understanding of algebra, geometry, and calculus
• A credentialed tutor or graduate degree is a plus, but not a requirement
• Experience with basic database/data entry and strong administration skills
• Strong typing, PC, and recording skills
• Reliable transportation with current car insurance and access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone
• A personality suited for working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
