About the Role: Certified Teacher to Tutor Small In-Person Math Groups

We are seeking an experienced and certified math teacher to join our team as a tutor for small in-person math groups in the Ogontz area of Philadelphia. As a tutor with Team Tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with students in a 4th-grade classroom setting, providing personalized math instruction and support to help them achieve their academic goals. Key Responsibilities:

• Tutor small groups of students in math, providing personalized instruction and support to meet their individual needs
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective lesson plans
• Provide positive feedback to students on a daily basis, helping to build their confidence and motivation
• Tailor lessons to meet the academic needs of each small group, using a variety of teaching strategies and techniques
• Work closely with students, teachers, and other staff members to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A valid state teaching certification
• Updated clearances, including FBI, police record, and child abuse clearances
• At least 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience
• Open availability to teach from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, during the 2023-2024 school year
• Reliable transportation to and from the tutoring location
• A passion for working with students and a commitment to helping them achieve their academic goals

• Experience working with students in a small-group or one-on-one setting
• Strong knowledge of math curriculum and instruction
