Role Overview

As our Experienced Managing Director Procurement Operations, you will be responsible for leading a team of managers in procurement operations, including the requisitioning and payment process for goods and services, inventory management, and transactional activities related to procurement operations. You will be the strategic leader responsible for planning, designing, and implementing best-in-class procurement practices to drive business growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and ensure compliance with the governance process for Procure to Pay (procurement operations, accounts payable, etc.)

  • Design the procurement organization (in line with best practices from leading global companies) to meet our needs
  • Manage the transformation of relevant functions to achieve best-in-class Procure to Pay outcomes
  • Lead and optimize the Procure to Pay process, ensuring seamless integration between procurement, accounts payable, disbursements, sourcing, and other functions to enhance efficiency
  • Oversee the ecosystem (data, systems, people, process) for procurement and drive world-class procurement operations
  • Collaborate with process owners and systems owners to implement best practices with a mindset of continuous improvement and external orientation
  • Develop and manage KPIs in line with a world-class procurement organization
  • Oversee the annual budget and long-range plan for the procurement department
  • Perform other duties as needed

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree/equivalent in finance, supply chain management, or related field

  • 10+ years professional experience in one or more of the following: procurement operations, sourcing, accounts payable, Procure-to-pay processes, and attendant systems
  • Experience working in a world-class procurement organization (with modern systems and processes) is crucial

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in finance, supply chain management, or related field

  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CPM)
  • Experience with change management and project management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Stellar stakeholder relationship management skills
