  • Conduct constructability reviews and suggest design or sequencing solutions

  • Visit job sites to support field layout, connection troubleshooting, and technical coordination

  • Assist in tracking RFIs, submittals, and engineering changes

  • Participate in engineering and safety meetings to gain real-world understanding of jobsite dynamics

  • Develop proficiency in Sure Steel’s modeling, planning, and technical systems

  • Ensure compliance with internal engineering standards and safety protocols

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering (or equivalent experience)

  • 2-3 years of experience in steel erection, engineering, or construction support (internships/co-ops accepted)

  • Familiarity with steel connection types, construction drawings, and field processes

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office; exposure to Tekla or similar 3D software is a plus

  • Eagerness to learn, contribute, and grow in a collaborative and fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to travel occasionally to job sites for technical support

  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Paid time off and paid holidays

  • National project exposure and hands-on learning opportunities

  • A collaborative, safety-first, and performance-driven culture
