Help Shape the Future of Payroll SimplePay is growing— we’re looking to add another product-focused technical business analyst to our existing team. You’ll work closely with the other BAs, product designers, legal analysts, developers, customer experience team, and management, but retain ultimate ownership of and responsibility for your tasks. What You'll Work On The focus of this role will be the speccing of new features and system updates, including general requirements gathering from internal stakeholders, research into competitors, high-level screen design, and, in some cases, the basics of technical design. The core responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Eliciting and converting product requirements into functional and technical specifications
• Creating prototypes and user flows 
• Conducting research for product improvements
• Investigating the feasibility of product expansion options
• Assisting with the scoping and execution of epics and larger projects
• Communicating product changes effectively to various internal audiences
• Reviewing of requirement specs as well as assisting with the continuous growth of junior analysts through guidance and mentorship

• A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role
• At least some understanding of APIs, databases, and object orientation concepts
• Experience within a high-performance team
• Exemplary written communication skills and attention to detail
• First language or highly proficient level of English
• Self-driven and organised
• Strong orientation towards continuous learning
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Able to navigate ambiguity and complexity
• Strong leadership and facilitation skills
• Technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and adopt new software programs

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Experience designing for B2B SaaS or compliance-heavy products
• Experience with Figma or other prototyping tools
• Background in products with complex workflows or multiple user roles
• A solid grasp of what makes a great user experience
