Job Summary
As a Data Analyst at Blithequark, you will work closely with our content team to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and develop insights that inform business decisions. You'll be responsible for applying advanced analytical techniques, such as data mining, data visualization, and statistical analysis, to drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities
- Apply advanced analytical techniques (data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, machine learning) on large-scale, high-dimensional data to drive business decisions
- Analyze customer behavior (e.g., genre preferences, viewing patterns) to identify unmet customer needs and untapped content opportunities
- Forecast content engagement to inform procurement decisions
- Streamline our content launch and episode release strategy
- Test marketing strategies to optimize engagement and retention
- Ideate and develop new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance for both tactical and strategic decision-making
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support to stakeholders to help drive the business forward
- Effectively communicate significant results through compelling data storytelling across the organization
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in Data Analysis
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with R and/or Python
- Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques: decision trees, regression, clustering, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply creativity in solving complex problems
- Excellent data storytelling skills through verbal, written, and visual communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Information Science, Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field
