Our Transportation Analytics team plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain, and we are seeking a talented data analyst to join our crew.
Responsibilities
As an Experienced Data Analyst on our Transportation Analytics team, you will be responsible for:
- Working with large, messy, disparate datasets and performing ad-hoc analyses to inform critical business decisions. Develop ETLs or strategies that pull data from multiple sources and centralize it in a single table.
- Developing data visualizations to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges.
- Engaging with team members and cross-functional groups on a regular basis to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs. Partner with Operations, Finance, and Product groups to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems.
- Leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks related to reporting (screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier recognition).
- Documenting your approaches and sharing your expertise with colleagues. Mentor your peers as you become a Subject Matter Expert.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to manage data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity (2-4 years of experience).
- Creativity with a User Experience (UX) focus to develop impactful Tableau Dashboards (1-2 years of experience).
- Business Operations Fluency, with the ability to identify and root cause business problems. A Supply Chain background, ideally with transportation experience.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau.
- Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
- Experience with data manipulation tools, including Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.
