About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR-related tasks, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. You will work closely with our HR team to ensure that our employees have the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Make an inviting experience by genuinely welcoming all visitors
• Engage with visitors in a genuine way, which includes asking questions to better understand their specific needs
• Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store, and be able to explain them to visitors
• Thank visitors in a genuine manner and let them know we're glad they decided to shop at Target
• Know the store sales objectives and patterns with visitors and the team that are influencing and driving business results
• Work with your HR manager to anticipate and address specific skill and staffing needs for every area of the business
• Execute deliberate hiring efforts to assist in placing leaders in finding and recruiting talent with the right skills and experiences to best serve their visitors
• Support the training needs of your store's sales team and be an advocate for continuous learning
• Be a subject matter expert for scheduling systems and pay practices
• Act as a door by listening to colleagues and collaborating with the right leaders to take action on a case-by-case basis
• Follow through on all HR functional and recurring programs
• Exhibit a culture of moral leadership, safety, and compliance
• Work in a safe manner consistently to help yourself and others; identify and address risks; follow all safety protocols and best practices
• Any other duties as required by business needs

Preferred Qualifications

• The ability to precisely handle sales register operations
• The ability to output, handle, and move stock proficiently and securely, including frequently lifting or moving product up to 15 pounds and periodically lifting or moving product up to 40 pounds
• An adaptable schedule for work (e.g., evenings, weekends, and holidays) and normal attendance is required
