Responsibilities
As an Inbound Energy Customer Care Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Answering phone calls from customers in a professional, courteous manner, and responding to their inquiries and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Focusing on customer retention through proactive communication, issue resolution, and personalized support.
- Providing customers with clear explanations of our service standards, policies, and procedures.
- Identifying and escalating priority issues to high-level management, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing customer dissatisfaction.
- Routing inbound calls to the most suitable resources, ensuring efficient issue resolution and minimizing wait times.
- Following up on complicated customer calls, providing additional support and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Completing call notes and call reports as necessary, updating them in our CRM system to maintain accurate records.
- Obtaining and evaluating relevant data to properly handle and document complaints and inquiries.
- Recording details of comments, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and preferences.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual skills (a plus)
- Some sales and customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written communication, with proper grammar and punctuation
- Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Some experience with MS Excel (a plus)
- The ability to react effectively and calmly in escalated situations, maintaining a professional demeanor under pressure
