Job Summary

As a Technology Supply Chain Management Category Manager, you'll be responsible for investing in the future of blithequark's people by managing a portfolio of related Technology suppliers, particularly for the Air Operations groups – including Flight Operations, Network Operations Control, and Inflight Operations. This role requires a trusted advisor who can support complex and high-value contracts, work with cross-functional teams to ensure suppliers meet business objectives, and help maximize supplier value while mitigating risk.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage a portfolio of Technology suppliers, including Flight Operations, Network Operations Control, and Inflight Operations

  • Lead strategic sourcing events, negotiations, and drafting of contracts to maximize supplier value and mitigate risk
  • Serve as a consultant in Air Operations Technology spend and supplier-related issues
  • Mentor more junior level colleagues in this space to develop their skills and expertise
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure suppliers meet business objectives
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize Technology spend and supplier relationships
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Technology Supply Chain Management

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in Technology Supply Chain Management, with a focus on category management and strategic sourcing
  • Proven track record of success in managing complex contracts and supplier relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Experience with contract negotiation and drafting
  • Strong understanding of Technology industry trends and best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g. CSCP, CLTD)
  • Experience working in the airline industry or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and negotiation principles
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau)
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies and their applications in the airline industry

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:

As a Technology Supply Chain Management Category Manager at blithequark, you'll enjoy a competitive compensation package, including:

  • Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
