About the Role

As a Healthcare Patient Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient experience by providing top-notch customer service, managing patient refunds, processing patient payments, and answering patient calls regarding EOBs and research balances. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Answering patient calls regarding EOBs and research balances
  • Managing patient refunds
  • Processing patient payments
  • Providing a positive customer service experience to clients, guests, and patients
  • Demonstrating extensive attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Consistently meeting or exceeding performance metrics and quality standards

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in medical billing and collections
  • Current knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement for commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare
  • A thorough understanding of EOBs and the ability to effectively communicate by phone and in writing with patients
  • Consistently demonstrate extensive attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to clients, guests, and patients
  • Self-motivated, multitasking, and a team player

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • Minimum of one year of experience in medical billing and collections
  • Current knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement for commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare
  • Thorough understanding of EOBs and the ability to effectively communicate by phone and in writing with patients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a healthcare setting or revenue cycle management company

  • Knowledge of medical billing software and systems
  • Certification in medical billing or a related field (e.g., CPC, CMC)
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
