Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Junior Geographic Information Systems Analyst to join our team. As a Junior GIS Analyst, you will be responsible for creating geographic data for assigned areas, designing PC-generated maps and reports, and providing administrative support to local dealmakers. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in GIS, data analysis, and spatial reasoning.

Key Responsibilities

* Create PC-generated maps, reports, tables, and charts for assigned areas using MapInfo, as requested by local dealmakers

• Process requests and inquiries from Costco Activities for market strategy guides and presentation materials
• Perform a variety of project-specific tasks, including data analysis and visualization, as assigned
• Provide administrative support to local dealmakers, including preparing cost reports, editing documents, booking travel, and meeting other administrative needs
• Perform general office duties, including answering phone calls, greeting office visitors, mail handling and processing, ensuring all office equipment is in good working order, and recording and booking deliveries

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in GIS or related field

• 2+ years of experience in geographic information systems, data analysis, and spatial reasoning
• Strong knowledge of GIS software, including MapInfo
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with data visualization and mapping software, including ArcGIS and QGIS

• Knowledge of data analysis and statistical software, including R and Python
• Familiarity with cloud-based GIS platforms, including Google Earth and ArcGIS Online
