Job Summary

As a Health Insurance Billing Resolution Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), resolving patient medical billing inquiries, collecting payments, and assisting with patient inquiries regarding their medically billed charges. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a friendly and approachable attitude.

Responsibilities

* Review EOBs and resolve patient medical billing inquiries in a timely and accurate manner

  • Collect payments from patients and assist with payment plans as needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve complex billing issues and ensure accurate and timely payment processing
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including time tracking and productivity metrics
  • Participate in online team meetings and company Q&A forums to stay informed and engaged with the team
  • Meet daily quality and productivity quotas, as well as contribute to the overall success of the project
  • Maintain a quiet and distraction-free work environment, free from interruptions and noise
  • Utilize electronic medical systems to access patient information and resolve billing inquiries
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex billing issues and ensure accurate and timely payment processing

Requirements

* 1 year of experience in customer service, medical billing, or a related field

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
  • Previous experience working with electronic medical systems required
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is vital to being successful in this position
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems and software programs simultaneously
  • Friendly and approachable attitude, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with minimal supervision
  • High-speed internet required, with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps for download and 3 Mbps for upload
  • Ability to complete mandatory on-boarding training, including online videos and live meetings
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday during Hawaii Standard Time

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a healthcare or insurance environment

  • Knowledge of medical billing and coding principles
  • Experience with electronic medical systems, including Epic and Cerner
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software

Note
