Experienced Customer Service Support Representative - Patient Billing Customer Service - Remote Opportunity

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Support Representative, you will be responsible for:

• Answering 80+ inbound calls per day from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers, providing timely and accurate solutions to their billing inquiries
• Initiating payment plans for patients with outstanding balances, ensuring seamless communication and follow-up
• Utilizing multiple resources to resolve patient inquiries while on the phone, demonstrating a proactive and customer-centric approach
• Maintaining performance goals and meeting productivity standards, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
• Becoming proficient with processes after completing a structured training program, with opportunities for growth and development

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 1+ year of work experience in a related field (medical billing, customer service, insurance claims, EOB, call center, or fast-paced environment)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality
• Proficiency navigating multiple computer screens and applications, with a strong understanding of alpha-numeric data entry
• Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage time and tasks independently while maintaining productivity

Qualifications

In addition to the above requirements, we are seeking candidates with:

• Previous work experience in medical billing, customer service, insurance claims, EOB, call center, or fast-paced environment
• Previous interaction and communication with patients regarding medical information
• Technical/Other Requirements:

+ Internet download speed of at least 50 megabytes per second connectivity (required for remote work) + Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord (no Wi-Fi, mobile routers, or mobile hotspot with Ethernet port) + Dedicated area to perform duties without interference, with structured breaks and time management

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is $15.25-$16.00 or State/Local minimum wage, if higher. All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Shift and Benefits

The shift for this position will be Monday-Friday, 11am-8pm EST (10am-7pm CST, 9am-6pm MST, and 8am-5pm PST). During training, the hours will be 9am-6pm EST. Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
