Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced full-stack software engineer to join our product development and integration team, reporting to a Technical Lead. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications, as well as leading a small team of engineers and influencing them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Programming Development:

+ Develop and maintain high-quality software applications using a range of programming languages, including Java, Python, and Scala. + Participate in code reviews and automated testing to ensure the quality and reliability of our software. + Troubleshoot critical software components and identify code defects for remediation. + Enable the deployment, support, and maintenance of software across test, integration, and production environments. + Automate solutions in test or production environments. + Scale applications based on projected demand.

Leadership:

+ Lead a small team of engineers and influence them to achieve their full potential. + Impact colleagues with innovative changes and enhancements by challenging the norm and taking calculated risks.

Collaboration:

+ Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy software applications. + Participate in Agile development methodologies and contribute to the planning and execution of software development projects.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on big data and cloud application development.
• Strong experience with Hadoop, Hive, and Spark (core, SQL, and PySpark).
• Data warehousing concepts and knowledge of financial reporting environments are a plus.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud platforms like GCP/AWS, building microservices, and agile development methodologies.
• Experience with GitHub/Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with NoSQL databases like HBase, Couchbase, and MongoDB is a plus.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with Kafka streams or queues.

• Experience with cloud platforms like GCP/AWS, building microservices, and agile development methodologies.
