Job Summary

As a Manager, Analytics, you will be responsible for supporting our paid media analytics capability to surface data-driven key opportunities for the Chief Authority group, focusing on optimization of our paid media spend worldwide. You will work closely with marketing teams to identify ways of working on the efficiencies of our paid media spend and develop revealing and analyses to inform and drive decisions, as well as develop KPIs and scorecards to track progress/execution and drive an emphasis on results and execution. You will play a key role in supporting key navigation by creating and disseminating custom-tailored insights and analyses which will illuminate our paid media ecosystem.

We are seeking a free-thinking, analytical leader with sharp critical thinking skills, comfortable with uncertainty, and able to break down complex information and make informed decisions. You will be able to scope an issue, identify relevant questions, draw significant insights, and provide actionable recommendations from the data. As a Manager, Analytics, you will be a key member of our team, working closely with cross-functional groups to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and communicate insights and analyses in the area of paid media - Plan and lead the development of investigation, BI, and data science projects fully focused on optimizing paid media and improving marketing efficiencies - Work with paid media data science team and marketing teams on implementing media blend models - Lead ad-hoc analysis through database querying, followed by quick translation of results and definition and communication of recommendations that drive action - Collaborate with marketing, finance, and product teams to handle business challenges, and track marketing and product performance with a data-driven approach - Influence Organized Query Language (SQL), MicroStrategy, Tableau, Success, and other reporting tools to create and maintain planned and Adhoc reports - Analyze data to identify business issues and lead deep dives to perform root cause analysis - Collaborate with partners to leverage data (internal data from Perceptible and Amazon, as well as external data from market research and marketing organizations) and address complex business challenges by conveying significant insights - Conceptualize and run analyses that create insights on customer behavior and customer needs to help further develop and refine our value proposition

Essential Capabilities

- Experience in the field of Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Consulting in an e-commerce or related field - High-level SQL experience - High-level involvement in at least one industry analytics and measurement tool (e.g. Tableau/QuickSight/PowerBI) - Mastery in Success with a demonstrated history - Degree in data science, business, finance, data engineering, statistics, mathematics, or other related field

- You enjoy working in a team of highly connected individuals - You have an enthusiasm for numbers, data, and analytics, as well as conveying high-quality insights and analysis - Strong inclination for action, highly organized, and ability to complete tasks and projects with minimal direction and tight deadlines - Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with both business leadership and technical teams effectively - Experience with enrollment, membership-based, or media content organizations - Experience with and/or interest in learning more on state-of-the-art data science approaches - Programming languages: knowledge of Python - Knowledge of other programming languages, such as Java or C#, or of statistical programming languages like R or SAS - Knowledge of Adobe Analytics
