Responsibilities As a Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for managing a steady volume of incoming calls regarding benefits from members, providers, and employer groups. Your key responsibilities will include: * Explaining and clarifying plans' policies and procedures to members and providers * Actively attempting to resolve member or provider concerns, which may involve contacting other appropriate parties to facilitate the resolution of such concerns * Investigating verbal complaints concerning billing, claims, or service rendered and escalating complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation * Maintaining current knowledge of Member Services policies and procedures * Performing other work-related duties as assigned Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and characteristics: * Ability to successfully complete a customer service assessment and typing test * Must be a US Citizen * High school diploma, GED, or college degree * Ability to successfully complete a mandatory paid training program with 100% attendance * Successful completion of a background check is required for this position * At least 1 year of Call Center experience preferred * 1 year of face-to-face customer service experience * Knowledge of and prior experience in Dental, Medical, or Managed Care industry is preferred * Must possess the following characteristics: self-motivation, resourcefulness, detail-oriented, sense of accountability, and must be a team player * Must possess strong skills in the following areas: organizational, time management, written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet Explorer * Strong communication skills over the phone * Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Equipment and Workspace Requirements To work as a Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you will need to have: * A home internet connection of 10 Download and 3 Upload Speed (you may do a quick check through your internet service provider) * The ability to hardwire your work computer directly to your home modem via ethernet * A distraction-free and secure work environment What We Offer As a Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will enjoy a range of benefits and opportunities, including: * Competitive hourly rate of $16.00 * 10 weeks of paid training * Flexible and remote work environment * Opportunities for growth and development within the healthcare team * Health benefits for you and your family, including medical, dental, and vision * Paid time off after 180 days of employment * Computer equipment provided * A dynamic and supportive work environment How to Apply If you are a motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
