Job Summary
As a Data Analyst at blithequark, you will play a critical role in analyzing complex data sets to inform business decisions and drive growth. You will work closely with our content development team to identify trends and opportunities, and develop insights that will help us create engaging and relevant content for our audiences. Key Responsibilities
* Apply advanced analytical procedures (data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, AI) to large-scale, high-dimensional data to inform business decisions
- Analyze customer behavior (e.g., viewing habits, engagement patterns) to identify untapped customer needs and undiscovered content opportunities
- Develop predictive models to forecast content engagement and inform procurement decisions
- Streamline our content launch and episode release process
- Test marketing strategies to optimize engagement and retention
- Ideate and develop new metrics and KPIs to measure content performance for both strategic and tactical navigation
- Provide ad-hoc analysis support to partners to drive business growth
- Effectively communicate significant findings through compelling data storytelling across the organization
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in data analysis
- Proficiency in SQL and experience in R and/or Python
- Experience with statistical analysis and AI methods: decision trees, regression, clustering, etc.
- Proven ability to work independently and apply creativity in solving complex problems
- Exceptional data storytelling skills through verbal, written, and visual communication
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience working with large-scale data sets and complex data systems
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and tools (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong understanding of media and entertainment industry trends and challenges
