About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a pivotal role in our Customer Contact Center, providing exceptional support to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to address frequent questions, offer detailed information, process applications, and resolve emerging problems with accuracy and efficiency. You will utilize standard technology such as telephones, email, and web browsers to navigate through pre-scripted responses and provide basic general and claims-specific information to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take incoming calls, use chat, and complete outbound calls as necessary to assist customers.
  • Practice active listening, be empathic, and communicate clearly with customers in a positive and professional manner.
  • Assist callers with filling out their applications and submitting them electronically for processing.
  • Complete basic call logs, documentation, and related call details for each phone inquiry.
  • Navigate various systems and browsers efficiently.
  • Maintain excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and coworkers.

Essential Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently.
  • A minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute.
  • Experience working with personal computers and the Windows operating system.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to multi-task and stay organized.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Excel and Word.
  • An excellent command of the English language, with effective use of grammar skills.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable:

  • Prior experience in a customer service or contact center environment.
  • Knowledge of contact center technology and software.
  • Experience with student loan services or financial aid.
  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills.
