Responsibilities

As a Chat Support Agent at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing prompt and professional customer support via online chat, ensuring that every interaction is engaging, informative, and resolution-focused.
  • Answering customer inquiries regarding products, services, policies, and account information, demonstrating a deep understanding of our offerings and policies.
  • Troubleshooting common customer issues and providing resolutions, leveraging your analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Guiding customers through online processes and assisting with account management, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience.
  • Documenting customer interactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining a comprehensive record of conversations and resolutions.
  • Escalating complex issues to appropriate departments as needed, collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures for customer service, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Meeting or exceeding customer satisfaction targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), continuously striving for excellence in every interaction.
  • Continuously improving customer service skills and product knowledge, staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

To succeed as a Chat Support Agent at blithequark, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in a call center or online chat environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong typing skills and the ability to type accurately and quickly, with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple chat conversations simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a focus on customer satisfaction, demonstrating empathy and a customer-centric approach.
  • Proficiency in using computers and online chat platforms, with experience in customer relationship management (CRM) software a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as Salesforce or Zendesk.
  • Knowledge of insurance products and services, with a deep understanding of policy details and regulatory requirements.
  • Bilingual language skills, with proficiency in Spanish, Mandarin, or other languages spoken by our customer base.
