Actuary-Rate Filings (REMOTE) needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Staffing’s insurance client.
- Pay Rate: $45-52/hr
- REMOTE
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and support personal lines rate filings (Auto and Umbrella), including direct engagement with state DOIs.
- Independently review and provide feedback on rate filings prepared by junior analysts, ensuring actuarial soundness and strategic alignment.
- Anticipate and address DOI objections with thoughtful, data-driven responses that support the filing's integrity and business goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure filings reflect current trends, regulatory expectations, and competitive positioning.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or related and 4+ years of actuarial or analytical experience, with at least 2 years focused on personal lines rate filings in the United States.
- Knowledge of computer programming languages, such as Visual Basic.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communications skills
- CAS, ACAS, or FCAS required
