[Remote] Senior Cost Analyst - Value Engineering

They are seeking a Senior Cost Analyst - Value Engineering who will be responsible for modeling costs, supporting commercial negotiations, and leading projects to reduce total product costs by collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities
- Experts in cost estimating methods: Focus areas Materials, Casting, Forging, Welding, Fabrication, Assembly, Mechanical Systems, Electrical Systems, Logistics, Construction.
- Selection and use of fit for purpose should cost tools to provide relevant and timely estimates to support design decisions or procurement negotiations.
- Build external awareness of commercial tools and emergent capability to continually improve the way we operate and the tools we use.
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, site installation, and finance to develop Should Cost Models.
- Train and coach engineering and procurement team to proactively use cost modelling techniques to provide real time insights
- Maintain a dossier of competitor intelligence and cost target models to challenge and bring forward cost opportunities
- Visit suppliers and challenge with lean and best practices to optimize manufacturing processes, CoS, Supply Chain design for lowest TCA.
- Lead and develop a culture supportive of the GE Vernova Way, ensuring effective communication across the organization, engaging with team members to ensure understanding and alignment with operational goals.
Skills
- Bachelor's engineering degree from a regionally accredited college, university
- 5 years of relevant professional work experience in material planning, sourcing, manufacturing, or engineering in energy, oil and gas, aviation, shipbuilding, industrial, automotive, or other high value add heavy industries.
- Manufacturing experience across high value-add heavy industries.
- Knowledge of the disciplines of supply chain management, including production operations, inventory controls, costing systems, financial reporting measures.
- Automotive should costing experience desirable.
- Proven detailed cost analytics experience
- Cost out and/or Finance experience
- Prior experience in change management & process definition
- Experience in multiple functions such as engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, projects, logistics, construction etc.
- Ability to support multiple internal customers and partners with competing priorities in a matrixed environment.
- Experience of operating in a matrix environment with strong relationship-building skills, combined with a clear understanding of global process and transactional flows.
- Ability to influence up and down the organization and across the functions by provided fact-based analysis to help inform decision making.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
