As a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Minnesota Veterans Home-Bemidji, you will deliver skilled nursing care within the RN scope of practice, as defined in the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act and in accordance with current federal, state and Veteran Administration regulations. Provide assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver quality resident-centered care to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the residents. The position is designated as part-time with a rotating evening and night shift work schedule.
The work schedule will include at least 64 hours per 2-week pay period
and may include additional work hours
, based on business needs. The position is initially eligible for a full employer contribution towards health and dental insurance benefits.

- *Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care or other senior healthcare environment. + Experience working with a Veteran population. + Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care provided by other staff, make or recommend changes, and provide mentoring. + Knowledge of nursing practices and techniques sufficient to provide effective nursing care and the ability to make decisions within the scope of nursing responsibilities. + Effective interpersonal skills in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships. + Experience with minimum data set (MDS) assessments.
