Senior UX Design Researcher | KarmaCheck | Remote US

As a Senior UX Design Researcher, you will play a crucial role in our product development process. Your main responsibilities will include conducting thorough UX research, usability testing, and building original design systems and patterns based on the results of our rigorous testing. You will need to have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of front-end technologies to contribute effectively to our mobile-first design initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead UX research and usability testing to gather meaningful insights and improve product design.
• Develop and maintain original design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across all platforms.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement front-end solutions, enhancing user interaction and engagement.
• Guide the design sprint processes to rapidly test and iterate product concepts.
• Apply a hyper-attentive approach to all design elements, ensuring the highest quality in user interface details.
• Utilize Atomic Design principles to build thoughtful, detailed UI components.
• Implement Human-Centered Technology (HCT) practices to enhance user satisfaction and accessibility.
• Design and prototype with Figma, creating high-fidelity models that align with user needs and business goals.

You’re a great addition if:

• You have professional work experience in technology as a designer, startup and scaling experience is best
• You have a strong track record in using generative AI tools and frameworks
• You have background or familiarity with healthcare staffing, background checks, staffing, healthcare credentialing, or related industries
• You have proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.
• You display empathy for the user and possess a strong understanding of user-centered design and research principles and methodologies
• You have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
• You are a self starter and possess the hunger to continuously learn
• You have B2B experience, and have some B2C experience or a mind for how to operate in that market
• You love connecting with people via video, phone, chat tools, and over-communicate to compensate for what remote/digital work can lack

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience (7+ years or equivalent) in UX research, UX testing, and system design. Solid understanding and practical experience in building and maintaining design systems.
• Technical proficiency in front-end development, with a deep understanding of responsive design and mobile-first strategies.
• Experienced with design sprint methodologies, from ideation through rapid prototyping and testing.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics and functionality.
• Fluent in Atomic Design methodology and principles.
• Advanced skills in Figma and vector graphic tools.
• Knowledgeable in Human-Centered Technology (HCT) principles.

• The expected base compensation for this role is between $130,000 – $175,000 for work performed in the United States. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include experience level, transferable skills, education, location, business needs, training, and market demands. This range may be modified in the future.
