Job Summary

As a Customer Service/Sales Associate at blithequark, you will be the face of our company, interacting with customers, and providing them with exceptional service and support. You will learn about our products, services, and solutions, and use this knowledge to sell entire projects to meet our customers' needs. You will work closely with your Department Supervisor and other associates to ensure that our customers receive the best possible experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide fast, friendly service to customers, actively seeking out opportunities to assist and support them

  • Learn about products and services using our tools and resources, and provide information to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions
  • Sell entire projects to customers, using your knowledge and expertise to meet their needs and exceed their expectations
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring that they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards and unsafe conditions to your Manager on Duty
  • Work cooperatively with your Department Supervisor and other associates to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a retail or sales environment

  • Knowledge of building materials, tools, and equipment
  • Ability to learn and operate a variety of software applications
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
