Sr. Media Planner

ForwardPMX is looking for a Sr. Media Planner for a newly acquired account. The Media Planner is a management position accountable for all aspects of the assigned client’s digital display and social campaigns. The candidate should work closely with partner media channels to set holistic strategies for their accounts. The role has elements of media planning, performance analysis, report building and traffic management. The ideal candidate will have a Media Planner/Analyst background, have great organizational skills, and experience developing and executing display/social tactics. The ability to multi-task while under tight deadlines with team members from various disciplines is also required. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of client’s display and social tactical elements - social being main priority
  • Provide consistent reporting insights into display and social campaign metrics
  • Recommend audience structure for social and display campaigns
  • Analyze the results and make optimization recommendations while the media is live and use empirical data to improve results for the next buying cycle
  • Present metrics in a user-friendly way with insights into performance
  • Assist creation of all plans and presentations
  • Ability to vet and understand strengths and weaknesses of media vendors
  • Work closely with media vendors during the RFP process to collect and clarify communications
  • Ensure accurate budget actualizations and billing
  • Advise and grow skills of the Assistant Media Planner
  • Communicate/Troubleshoot changes to the field and technical teams relating to our tracking methodology
  • Stay informed on industry trends and technology, updating Directors and Supervisors whenever possible
  • Track pacing and performance fluctuations to anticipate client needs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-4+ years media experience including interactive planning
  • 2-4+ years digital or online advertising industry experience preferred
  • Must have paid social experience
  • Programmatic Experience (DMP, DSP, exchange)
  • In-platform experience with social ad management tools
  • Knowledge of social metrics (i.e., Facebook & YouTube insights)
  • Experience using comScore and 3rd party ad serving technology (i.e., DoubleClick)
  • Experience with online media planning and web/media analytics and reporting
  • Ability to work with MS Office product suite including exceptional PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically in Media Plan presentations
  • Diverse account background including some direct response and awareness
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in an ever-changing environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Be a self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team
  • Be proactive about gaining industry knowledge and be able to share it
