Our Platform team focuses on virtualisation and virtual servers, managing operating systems, DevOps tools, and delivering resilient, scalable services through a global virtual support model.About Your RoleAs a Technical Consultant in the Virtualisation Core Platform team, you’ll help shape and maintain the infrastructure that powers Fidelity’s mission-critical systems. This role ensures our virtualisation environment—built on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)—remains secure, scalable, and efficient, supporting over 5,000 systems and enabling global business continuity. You’ll work on strategic projects and BAU tasks, contributing to platform engineering and operational excellence. Using technologies such as VMware vCenter, ESXi, Aria Suite, NSX, vSAN, and DellEMC VxRail, you’ll maintain platform health, manage capacity, and implement security patches. Your expertise will deliver resilient, cost-effective virtual compute resources that underpin essential services, from trading platforms to desktop environments. In this demanding, deadline-driven role, your technical insight will make a tangible impact on Fidelity’s global technology ecosystem.About YouTo succeed in this role, you’ll need strong hands-on experience with VMware technologies, including vSphere and vCenter, and proven ability to manage enterprise-class virtual infrastructures with HA clusters, storage, and networking. In addition, experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure is essential, including deploying and managing hybrid environments. Solid knowledge of vRealize Automation and Orchestrator, plus scripting skills in JavaScript or Python, is required. Practical experience applying AI-driven solutions for automation, optimization, or predictive analytics will be highly valued. Strong problem-solving ability, networking fundamentals (DNS, VLANs, routing), and storage technologies (vSAN, Dell EMC) are also critical.Feel rewardedFor starters, we’ll offer you a comprehensive benefits package.
