Job Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and implementing cloud-based data infrastructure and analytics solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with stakeholders and engineering groups to identify and scope the optimal data structure and generation for evaluating key business metrics and client behavioral questions.
• Partnering with partner engineering groups to enhance data infrastructure, data availability, and access to client insights through Business Intelligence (BI) tools across the organization.
• Designing, building, and implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using AWS and similar technologies.
• Implementing anomaly detection systems to proactively address potential data quality issues using industry-standard frameworks.
• Enabling large-scale analytics through the use of EMR (Elastic MapReduce) and other big-data technologies.
• Establishing and enforcing data quality practices that should be followed across the organization.
• Working on proof-of-concepts for the adoption of new technologies and tools.

Basic Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-based data infrastructure and analytics.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL and one or more query languages (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala).
• Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, KornShell).

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience with large-data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR would be a significant advantage. Additionally, experience with large-data processing frameworks, data warehouse technical architecture, infrastructure components, ETL, and reporting/analytic tools and environments would be highly valued.
