Staff Accountant

Innovatis Group is a rapidly growing association management company committed to redefining partnership and impact. They are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage complex financial reporting, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Perform account reconciliations and analysis, resolving any discrepancies
  • Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies, as well as external regulatory requirements
  • Support the annual audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business initiatives
  • Assist in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and able to commute to the office at least three days per week
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to convey information clearly and professionally
  • Physical requirements: must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods as needed
  • CPA Certification not required but is a plus
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Online a plus
