Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based data pipelines that support our Media business. As a Data Engineer, you'll work closely with our Data Science, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that drive business insights and growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using technologies such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and Python
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design data pipelines, and implement data solutions
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and data marts
- Create and maintain data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to support business decision-making
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring high-quality data delivery
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data engineering
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience working with Snowflake and PostgreSQL
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data visualization concepts
- Experience with version control systems, such as GitLab or GitHub
- Familiarity with containerization using Docker
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies
- Proficiency in cloud design and product development, ideally with AWS
- Experience with automated workflow schedulers and DevOps practices
- Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and data compliance
- Experience with data quality, data validation, and data cleansing techniques
