Software Engineer
Compass is a technology company revolutionizing the real estate industry through its end-to-end platform. They are seeking early-career Software Engineers to work on various services that power their products, utilizing AI-driven development tools and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver critical features.
Responsibilities
- Work with Senior Engineers to build, develop, and scale the variety of services that power our products
- Utilize AI-driven development tools and practices
- Operate in a scalable engineering culture that leverages modern principles of decoupled systems and automated CI/CD/testing/monitoring to drive efficiencies
- Work closely with Product, Design, and adjacent Engineering teams to deliver business critical features to our customers
- Become a domain expert in real estate technology, with a deep understanding of our customers

Skills
- BA/BS/MS in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Software engineering experience of 1-2 year (relevant internship experience included)
- Experience programming in JavaScript, Java, C#, Python, or Go for Web roles
- Experience with Kotlin or Swift for Mobile roles
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- This role requires in-office presence in Boston 3-4 days per week
- Candidates must be available to begin full time no later than January, 2026 and interview locally in our Boston office
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
- Experience with AI development tools such as Github Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor
- Experience working on public cloud platforms – AWS in particular
- Experience with one or more of these technologies is a plus: Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kubernetes, S3, Redis, Lambda, Kafka, and Databricks
