Surplus Lines Tax Analyst
USG Insurance Services, Inc. is a distinguished national wholesale broker and managing general agent with a strong presence across the United States. They are seeking a Surplus Lines Tax Analyst to assist with surplus lines premium tax filings, ensuring compliance and accuracy in data management and regulatory processes.
Responsibilities
- Timely and accurate completion of state regulatory surplus lines tax filings
- Data entry and management of client-provided information into proprietary software and state-based filing systems (e.g., SLIP or OPTins)
- Conducting compliance and quality reviews on documents and state procedures
- Running reports and reconciling filings with internal platforms and state transaction reports
- Assisting with audits by verifying transactions and related documentation
- Communicating with internal teams (underwriters, brokers) and state insurance departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet multiple deadlines
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
