  • * Implement security controls (e.g., Azure AD, Conditional Access, RBAC) for secure access.
  • Migration Support:
  • * Assist in migrating on-premises VDI (e.g., Citrix, VMware) to Azure VDI.
  • * Validate configurations and user experience post-migration using tools like Azure Monitor.
  • * Support data integration with Azure Blob Storage or other cloud services.
  • Collaboration & Support:
  • * Work with application teams and federal stakeholders to define VDI requirements.
  • * Provide tier-2 support for VDI issues, troubleshooting connectivity and performance.
  • * Update stakeholders via clear, concise communications in meetings or reports.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
  • * Document configurations, security policies, and migration processes in SharePoint.
  • * Maintain Jira tickets for task tracking and federal audit compliance.
  • * Ensure adherence to federal security standards and Public Trust requirements.
  • Automation & Optimization:
  • * Use PowerShell or Terraform to automate VDI provisioning and updates.
  • * Monitor and optimize costs using Azure Cost Management tools.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience in cloud engineering or VDI administration.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployment and management.
  • Proficiency in Azure services (e.g., Azure AD, Virtual Machines, Networking, Blob Storage).
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting or Terraform for automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot VDI issues.
  • Experience with federal IT environments or regulated industries.
  • Solid communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Familiarity with Jira, SharePoint, or Rippling for task and time tracking.
  • Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, NIST 800-53).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
