Key Responsibilities

In this critical role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that require attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. Some of your key responsibilities may include:

  • Receiving and processing inventory, ensuring accurate and timely data entry
  • Preparing customer orders, packing, and shipping them efficiently
  • Loading boxes into trucks for shipment, using scanners to read bar codes on products
  • Viewing prompts on screens and following directions for specific tasks
  • Troubleshooting problems and ensuring product meets quality requirements
  • Operating power industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or pallet drivers, and working at heights up to 35 feet, with equipment training and certification provided free of cost

Physical Demands of the Role

In addition to your data entry skills, you will also need to be able to perform a variety of physical tasks, including:

  • Lifting up to 49 pounds
  • Pushing utility carts up to 60 pounds
  • Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching during shifts
  • Using carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
  • Going up and down stairs (where applicable)
  • Working at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry, inventory management, or a related field
  • Strong typing skills, with a minimum of 40 words per minute
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you a more competitive candidate:

  • Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Knowledge of inventory management software and systems
  • Experience operating power industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or pallet drivers
  • Certification in equipment operation or a related field
