Key Responsibilities

As a Virtual Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you'll be an integral part of our Customer Experience team, helping people every day by taking calls, actively listening to understand customers' needs, and answering their questions. Your excellent customer service and communication skills will help us create positive experiences for our members. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Answering incoming phone calls throughout scheduled shifts, assisting customers with healthcare claims and enrollment
  • Developing a warm and friendly approach to build a good rapport with callers
  • De-escalating and managing difficult calls with professionalism and level-headedness
  • Providing consistent, high-quality customer support with excellent listening skills, research, and attention to detail
  • Navigating multiple applications on one call with strong navigation skills and the ability to quickly transition from one task to another
  • Working with dual monitors and being proficient with keyboard shortcuts
  • Maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor in all interactions with customers

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • 1+ year of call center experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Residency in the United States
  • Ability to work from home with a private, dedicated, distraction-free quiet workspace
  • Two (2) 22" monitors with a video adaptor
  • Connection to the internet via a hardwired connection with a US-based internet service provider (25MBPS download and 5MBPS upload speed)
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong typing skills (minimum 25 WPM)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple applications on one call
  • Strong navigation skills and ability to quickly transition from one task to another
  • Proficient with keyboard shortcuts
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience working in a healthcare-related field
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and guidelines
  • Previous experience with customer service software and systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines

Training and Development

As a new member of the arenaflex team, you'll undergo a comprehensive 4-week training program, Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm EST. This training will cover all aspects of the role, including customer service skills, product knowledge, and technical training. You'll also have the opportunity to learn from experienced team members and receive feedback and coaching to help you succeed in your role.

Equipment and Workspace Requirements

During training, you'll be required to be on camera (camera provided) and have a private, dedicated, distraction-free quiet workspace. You'll also need to have the following equipment:

  • Two (2) 22" monitors with a video adaptor
  • Connection to the internet via a hardwired connection with a US-based internet service provider (25MBPS download and 5MBPS upload speed)
  • Wireless internet is not available, and internet speed test verification will be required

Compensation and Benefits

As a Virtual Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you'll receive a competitive hourly rate of $14.50 per hour, paid biweekly via direct deposit. You'll also have access to a range of benefits, including:
