CAE is a technology company that equips people in critical roles with expertise and solutions to create a safer world. They are looking for a Data Engineer to build and support data pipelines that power analytics solutions, transforming raw data into structured datasets for business insights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using Microsoft SSIS and/or Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines
  • Design and optimize workflows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability for business analysts and reporting teams
  • Collaborate with analysts to deliver modelled data for dashboards and reports
  • Troubleshoot and support existing data pipelines and integrations

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (preferably with a focus on Data Science and Analytics) or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience with SQL, including writing and optimizing complex queries
  • Understanding of ETL concepts and data pipeline design
  • Ability to work collaboratively with analytics and business teams
  • Completed Data Science coursework or certification
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SSIS, Microsoft Fabric, or similar ETL tools
  • Familiarity with IBM Cognos, Power BI, or other BI/reporting tools
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with common Data Science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn)
  • Knowledge of data modelling and data warehouse concepts
  • Interest in data analytics and visualization
