Insurance Business Line Risk Testing Analyst II

Ally Financial is a customer-centric, leading digital financial services company. The BL Risk Testing Analyst II plays a key role in supporting the development and execution of business process testing and monitoring activities for the Insurance business line.

Responsibilities

  • Independently execute assigned testing activities, including test of controls and validation/transactional testing
  • Support program planning and execution
  • Develop, execute and document testing in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Utilize sound analytical and technical skills to provide consultation regarding emerging control practices
  • Analyze business process and internal control documentation and develop written summary of findings to review with Management
  • Identify root causes and provide meaningful recommendations
  • Perform ad hoc projects as assigned to assist in analyzing Ally's risk and control environment
  • Work within defined plans and schedules
  • Maintain open line of communication with management of assigned areas

Skills

  • 1+ years of experience required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong project management skills
  • Detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed and organized individual
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong understanding of risk and control concepts
  • Ability to understand a range of processes within the Insurance business line
  • Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience in data analytics and analysis
  • Proven ability to excel in highly interactive team environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel (~5%)
  • 2+ years of work experience with a preference in testing, auditing or risk management
  • Bachelors (or higher) degree
  • Familiarity with Ally Insurance products or experience with F&I and/or P&C business
