Primary Responsibilities

As an Experienced Remote Customer Service Representative, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Handling high-volume inbound calls from policyholders, providers, and interested third parties, providing exceptional service and ensuring all inquiries and issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
  • Reviewing and maintaining new and revised procedures regarding policy information, staying up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring customer needs are met on every interaction, whether through phone, email, written correspondence, or other channels.
  • Maintaining department standards for call volume, average handle time, and time management, while consistently delivering high-quality service.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve complex issues and provide seamless support to our customers.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • 1+ years of work experience in a high-volume contact center environment, with a strong background in customer service and communication.
  • 18 years of age or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong remote experience, with a reliable internet connection (minimum 20 UPLOAD & 20 DOWNLOAD speed) and a hard-wired connection.
  • A smartphone to access VPN and a quiet, professional workspace.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and keyboard functions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, with a minimum typing requirement of 30 wpm.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and manage time effectively.
  • Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not a requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist role or a similar position where you handled high-volume calls.
  • Strong knowledge of the insurance industry and its regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in multiple software systems and tools.
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment.

Training and Onboarding

As a new hire, you will undergo a comprehensive 2-3 week training program, Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm CST. This will include:

  • In-depth training on our systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Hands-on practice and coaching to ensure you are comfortable with our tools and processes.
  • Ongoing support and feedback to help you succeed in your role.

Schedule and Availability

As a remote customer service representative, you will be required to work a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours between 7:30am-6:30pm CST. You will need to be available to work a variety of shifts, including morning, afternoon, and evening hours.
