Title: Principal Engineer- WiFi Location: Sunnyvale United States Job Description: RUCKUS Networks, part of CommScope, specializes in delivering high-performance networking solutions while focusing on creating purpose-driven networks that perform exceptionally well in challenging environments. Our Industry leading WiFi team is hiring Principal Engineer to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. In this role, you will drive the architecture, design, and development of cutting-edge, Enterprise / carrier-grade wireless access points, enabling enterprises and carriers to stay ahead of the rapidly growing demand for high-bandwidth applications. How You'll help us to connect the world: Design and develop WiFi features that align with evolving standards, focusing on high performance, low latency, and guaranteed service delivery. Collaborate with chip vendors to drive innovation, enhance SDKs, and support multi-platform, multi-standard solutions. Optimize wireless performance for challenging environments, including high-density deployments and challenging RF conditions. Conduct performance benchmarking, debugging, and tuning of the WiFi systems. Collaborate across teams to manage project deliverables, dependencies, milestones, and product optimization. Collaborate and Lead technical reviews and architectural discussions to guide the team in adopting the best solutions. Partner with system engineers and product managers to meet customer requirements. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Networking or Wireless and 8+ years of relevant experience. In-depth knowledge of WiFi access point (AP) architecture and WiFi standards. Experience in guiding architectural and design changes in WiFi AP products. Expertise in embedded systems, kernel, and device drivers. Strong coding experience in C/C++, Python for embedded systems development. Proven experience with SDK integration across multiple platforms with different vendors Strong understanding of WiFi communication protocols (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, 802.11ax, 802.11be ). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment, pushing the boundaries of technology. Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment. THIS IS HYBRID OPPORTUNITY. Depending on experience, the range can be higher for candidates with outstanding experience and a demonstrated history of successful performance.
