Primary Responsibilities
As a remote customer service representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Handling high-volume inbound calls from policyholders, providers, and interested third parties, ensuring exceptional service and first-contact resolution.
- Reviewing and maintaining new and revised procedures regarding policy information to stay up-to-date on industry developments.
- Ensuring customer needs are met on every interaction, whether through phone, email, or written correspondence.
- Maintaining department standards for call volume, average handle time, and time management.
- Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex issues and provide seamless support.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 1+ years of experience in a high-volume contact center environment, with a strong background in customer service.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong remote experience, with a reliable internet connection (minimum 20 Mbps upload and download speed) and a hard-wired connection.
- A smartphone to access VPN and stay connected with our team.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and keyboard functions.
- Excellent oral and written communication, with a minimum typing speed of 30 wpm.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and maintain a quiet and professional workspace.
- Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in a customer service role, with a strong background in claims processing and policy information.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high call volumes.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Training and Development
As a remote customer service representative, you'll undergo a comprehensive training program that includes:
- 2-3 weeks of in-depth training, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm CST.
- Ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure your success in the role.

Schedule and Availability
* Work from home, with a flexible schedule that allows for a 40-hour workweek.
- Availability to work Monday-Friday, between 7:30am-6:30pm CST.
- No weekend shifts, unless overtime is presented on the weekend.
Equipment and Resources
* A smartphone to access VPN and stay connected with our team.
- All other equipment, including computers and software, will be provided by arenaflex.
