Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Support Specialist to provide positive customer experiences by answering incoming calls in a timely and efficient manner. As a part-time remote position, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, while still being an integral part of our team. You must reside in the Columbus, OH or Pittsburgh, PA areas to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively listen and probe callers in a professional and timely manner to determine the purpose of the calls
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely and accurate way, via phone, email, or chat
  • Provide swift, thorough, friendly, and effective customer service to all internal and external customers, remaining focused on creating great customer experiences
  • Resolve issues by clarifying the customer's concern, determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem, and expediting correction or adjustment
  • Effectively work with others and promote teamwork to generate positive and creative results
  • Have access to personal health information ("PHI") necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities, with the ability to use and disclose PHI as defined by each organization/department

Essential Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you will need:

  • Ability to work 2nd shift and every other weekend
  • High school diploma
  • One (1) year of experience in customer service
  • A quiet remote work setting
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure with changing priorities and short deadlines, and effectively handle a heavy workload
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with clinical and non-clinical personnel
  • Proficient in software programs and able to navigate between computer systems
  • Ability to sit in front of a computer for long periods of time

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of customer service software and technology
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
