Job Summary

As a Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representative, you'll work as an extended business office representative on behalf of our clients, providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families. You'll work with patients to explain their medical bills, answer questions, and resolve account balances, all while maintaining a high level of empathy and professionalism. If you're passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and working in a dynamic, supportive environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

* Using empathy and fantastic listening, verbal, and written communication skills to help patients and their families understand confusing, and often times unexpected, medical bills.

  • Provide outstanding customer service and collaborate with patients over the phone on affordable payment plans, and taking payments by phone.
  • Using your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail to accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems throughout each day.
  • Supporting your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and caring team focus.
  • Continuously improving, with supportive coaching / feedback from your manager and team leads and ongoing training.

Essential Qualifications:

* 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in computer software and systems, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in healthcare billing or customer service

  • Certification in medical billing or customer service
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience working in a remote or work-from-home environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
