As an Audit & Assurance Analyst supporting Securitization at Deloitte, you'll be part of a core team that delivers a wide range of services to our clients with a comprehensive industry-focused approach. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside leading securitization professionals. Additionally, you'll be involved in helping advise investment banks, primary broker dealers, attorneys and various asset originators on performing complex procedures on transactions throughout their lifecycle. The Analyst role offers a unique opportunity to gain invaluable technical skills in an evolving industry. Work You'll Do As an Analyst in our Deloitte Audit & Assurance's Securitization practice, you will perform agreed upon procedures related to the full lifecycle of a structured product transaction of certain Mortgaged-Backed Assets (MBS), Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS), Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) and Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO). Our clients include primary broker dealers and originators in the fixed-income industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform loan file review, analytics, and evaluation of the underlying assets in a securitization transaction
  • Review and assess transaction offering documents
  • Perform post-closing compliance testing and independently evaluate findings
  • Strategize with clients, attorneys and other professionals within the organization and the fixed-income industry
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills essential to interacting with clients and teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/assignments/ responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills in support of both innovative and operational enhancement opportunities
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate across Deloitte team members and client stakeholders
  • Ability to identify, learn, understand, and implement new concepts, frameworks and emerging technologies
  • Ability to manage own personal and professional development; seek opportunities for professional growth and expansion of consulting skills and experience
  • A strong understanding of Windows Based systems and proficiency with arenaflex Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master's degrees in the following majors will be considered: Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, or Quantitative Finance
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Strong academic record, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • You should reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required
  • You can expect to co-locate on average 3 times a week with variations based on types of work/projects and client locations
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the type of work you perform and the clients served
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment Nice-to-haves
  • Meets minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure (which may differ from the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam) in the state of your assigned office location prior to beginning full-time employment
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above
  • Relevant work experience or work experience in a professional environment (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs)
