Requirements

ABOUT THE ROLE As an Instructor at Simplilearn, you will play a key role in developing high-caliber Lean Six Sigma practitioners by delivering our Lean Six Sigma Post Graduate Certification Program. This program equips learners with the knowledge, tools, and applied skills needed to drive process excellence, eliminate waste, improve quality, and lead data-driven transformation initiatives across industries. This is a part-time, remote role. All sessions are delivered synchronously and 100% online. RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you will:

  • You will conduct live online classes, guide learners through case studies, simulations, and real-world problem-solving exercises, and mentor them on end-to-end Lean Six Sigma projects.
  • You will help participants build a strong foundation in Lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, DMAIC frameworks, statistical analysis, and operational process improvement.
  • You will facilitate interactive discussions that help learners connect statistical insights with real business scenarios, fostering analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • You will collaborate with the Simplilearn academic team to continuously enhance course delivery, update examples, and ensure alignment with current process improvement practices and industry expectations.
  • You will help learners on project charters, provide structured feedback, and ensure projects align with Lean Six Sigma standards and deliver measurable outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS You are a great candidate for this role if you have:

  • 8+ years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, quality management, program management, or related functions.
  • Certifications such as LSSBB (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt), LSSGB (Green Belt) from “International Association for Six Sigma Certification” (IASSC) are mandatory.
  • Hands-on expertise with Lean methodologies, Six Sigma frameworks, and the DMAIC lifecycle

Strong knowledge of tools such as:

  • Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke
  • Statistical analysis tools: Minitab, JMP, or equivalent
  • Control charts, process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, regression, DOE, and data visualization
  • Experience leading or mentoring Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt projects with measurable business impact
  • Strong understanding of quality standards and frameworks such as ISO, SPC, TQM, PDCA, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence models
  • Experience teaching, coaching, or mentoring professionals (online or in person) is a plus but not mandatory
  • A passion for simplifying complex technical and statistical concepts, making them practical and engaging for adult learners
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a commitment to learner success and a student-centric approach
  • Professional integrity, empathy, and the ability to support diverse learners from various industries and experience levels

Benefits

Compensation: The expected compensation for this role is $50- $55 per hour for candidates who fulfill the qualifications listed. Candidates with advanced qualifications or domain expertise are encouraged to apply as well. All final offers will be determined based on individual experience, skillset, and alignment with the program needs. Not all candidates will qualify for the top of the salary range.
