Position Summary
As a Data Entry Clerk, you'll be responsible for various tasks related to financial document management and data analysis. This position is ideal for those who are organized, proactive, and eager to learn. You'll work closely with our accounting team to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial document management and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare review engagement working paper files, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. - Maintain a comprehensive filing system for all financial documents, adhering to arenaflex's document management policies. - Automate bank reconciliation, focusing on collection processes and troubleshooting unbalanced branch deposits, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. - Prepare weekly cash inflow forecasts and assist in cash flow forecasting, providing valuable insights to our accounting team. - Resolve client billing issues and provide weekly updates to the operations team on accounts receivable delinquency, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. - Perform month-end accounts receivable reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. - Analyze customer and product/course sales trends, providing valuable insights to our accounting team. - Assist with month-end and year-end processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. - Undertake other duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Essential Qualifications
- No prior experience required; a willingness to learn is essential. - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial document management and data analysis. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) is preferred, but not required. - Basic understanding of financial documents and accounting principles is a plus, but not essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in data entry or a related field is an asset. - Knowledge of financial software and systems, such as QuickBooks or Xero, is an asset. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with our accounting team.
