Job Summary: As a Mortgage Consultant (Partnerships/Franchises) - Remote, you will be responsible for providing guidance to new and existing clients on residential mortgage programs sourced from various channels, including designated real estate offices, internal leads, personal networks, mail campaigns, and other traditional and nontraditional sources. Your primary focus will be on generating high-quality loans that align with Prosperity Home Mortgage’s guidelines while ensuring an exceptional client experience for both borrowers and agents. Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate, foster, and uphold relationships with real estate partners by attending meetings, participating in marketing efforts, providing regular reporting, and engaging in other professional relationship-building activities.
  • Utilize these relationships to create and secure opportunities from these partnerships with the objective of positioning PHM as their preferred and trusted mortgage lender.
  • Assess customer financial needs and address inquiries regarding a range of residential loan products.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (processors, underwriters, appraisal department, etc.) to ensure timely loan closures and deliver an excellent client experience by maintaining effective and accurate communication on loan status and providing complete loan documentation.
  • Establish and achieve personal production and service goals, contributing to company market share and branch profitability.
  • Strike a balance between loan production volume and quality, meeting company standards for accuracy and fallout.
  • Adhere to industry-related regulations, requirements, and state/federal laws pertinent to the job responsibilities of this role.
  • Meet or exceed company standards for Initial File Quality (IFQ).

Requirements:

  • Two to three years of experience as a loan originator.
  • Must possess a Mortgage Loan Originator license obtained through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) as required by all states where an employee is conducting loan activity. PHM will cover the cost of any additional licenses required.
  • Proficient knowledge of company products, policies, procedures, underwriting requirements, and conventional and government loan requirements, gained through relevant experience in real estate, mortgage, or a similar industry; or the ability to acquire the necessary knowledge within a reasonable timeframe. Ability to comprehend and effectively communicate policies to customers.
  • Ability to set and achieve production goals in line with company loan standards, with proven sales and negotiating skills.
  • Capability to analyze customer needs and aid in selecting a suitable loan program.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for company and client events. Establishing a new partnership, face-to-face visits may be required. Details will be discussed during the interview process.
